Morgan Wallen Reacts to His CMA Awards Losses

Updated: Nov 13, 2023

Fans of Wallen watched on eagerly as the CMAs took place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, with the star nominated in three categories: Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for One Thing At A Time. Heading into this year’s CMA Awards, Morgan Wallen was among the frontrunners in key categories including entertainer of the year, album of the year (for his album One Thing at a Time) and male vocalist of the year. But he walked away empty handed after the Wednesday (Nov. 8) ceremony held at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

Morgan Wallen was nominated but didn’t win a single CMA Award during the 2023 ceremony, according to Billboard. Despite breaking all-genre music records and rewriting the course of country music history, the people deciding the CMA Awards think they know better than the fans … when they clearly know nothing at all. Morgan Wallen summed up the evening in one easy and clear statement ...“Walked in tonight a winner, didn’t leave no different.”
